Upgrading Singapore's Broadcast Infrastructure — A Full AV Connectivity Deployment

Verified outcomes from energy saving, industrial IIoT, digital twin, and broadcast infrastructure deployments across Singapore.

Client Context

A leading Singapore free-to-air broadcast network undertook a major studio and MCR (Master Control Room) upgrade to transition from SD/HD legacy infrastructure to a fully 4K-capable, IP-ready broadcast facility. The project required the complete replacement of all signal routing, audio patching, video transmission, and network distribution hardware across five production studios, the MCR, and two OB truck integration bays

Challenge

The upgrade needed to maintain continuous broadcast operations — no signal path could go dark during a scheduled programme. All new hardware required full compatibility with existing SMPTE 2110 IP video infrastructure being installed by the system integrator. Equipment needed to be sourced from authorised distributors with full manufacturer certification, warranty, and traceability — a broadcast compliance requirement for major studio facilities.
